1 year ago on this day I boarded a plane from Heathrow to Mumbai.

I’d like to say that was the point my whole life changed and be able to offer some sort of poignant answers to life..

But that’s not how it works.

You evolve.

Yes sure, life has changed for us all, major things went on in 2020 but can we really pinpoint a moment?
..
S U B T L E
..
That’s how it happens: you experience, you study, you watch, you listen, you learn,  you make decisions, you move, you stay still, you question, and one day you wake up and you know a bit more than you did yesterday, your mindset has evolved and shifted just that beautiful bit.
..
And slowly it no longer matters what people think.
..
We are all simply beings on this planet evolving and moving, shifting and changing whether we choose to or not.
..
I am grateful for my anniversary, the day things shifted and what I now call my ‘New Year’ 
..
And I am grateful to you for sharing it, and in some way being a part of it. 
..
Onwards we go.

Finding balance can help focus and calm our mind. Finding balance can help focus and calm our mind. It is not always ‘simple’ and it’s not always about perching on one leg 😂(although sometimes it so is!)
Finding balance is also  juggling quiet internal time while finding the quality space for family & friends. Finding balance is saying no when you’re not feeling up to it, resting when it’s called, asking for help and listening to your internal guide and not the internal chatter. 
As this year has been so confronting it can be one of the hardest yet one of the most important things to find.
So today, and everyday I wish you a peaceful search for balance. That you may find the courage to say yes or no when you need to and most of all enjoy the journey inbetween it all, even when there doesn’t seem like there’s much bliss to find.. there is.. there always is.

I thought i knew what meditation was, and thought I thought i knew what meditation was, and thought my practice was pretty good actually…  Until.. I went to India and sat in the presence of others (just like me) but in sacred spaces with energies that were indescribable. 

Discovering another level, like peeling away the layers of an onion we can go deeper within, the more we practice this discipline. 
 
We can dismiss it as wasting time or ’sitting on your laurels’ but once you can overcome the mind chatter you discover an inner peace that only gets better the more you practice.

You do not get a high, you do not get a low, there is no ‘I have made it’ it is a constant steady practice to a more peaceful you. 
 
Would you like to join me? I can’t promise you immediate shiny results, I cant and won’t even offer you a prize! but I can offer my humble learnings and techniques towards your journey.

Sometimes truly ‘going with flow’ without force, control or ego is the only way.

Today was one of those days.

Allowing circumstances to take care of themselves led to a powerful day of meditation 🧘‍♀️ @shantarasa_yoga

Still making it in time for a work meeting stream @roamingzen 
..
Then a detour to the beach to get sand between the toes as the sun set and that gorgeous #fullmoon rose 💜🙏
..
With heartfelt love and gratitude to all those in my life right now. I honour the teacher in you and the teacher in me.

A little thought, a little pause and some reflecti A little thought, a little pause and some reflection as we bathe in this glorious #BlueMoon and for so many at this time of year, especially those with children (including the inner child) , the delight in the celebration of  #Halloween.

And for the earth child in you I wish you #beltaineblessings down under (southern) and  #sahmainblessings on the other side… and most of all #fullmoonblessings to us all!..
As we celebrate this time of year, this spring season that brings us beautiful smells of flowers and herbs with some fruits and veggies. While harvesting pumpkins and autumnal coziness on the other side of the world..

My wish for us all is that when we look up to that glorious moon we can call for inner peace and guidance to release old cycles that no longer serve and embrace the new cycles about to begin...

The world is changing and so are we, together (yet apart) we can rise to the challenge and flow with ease and grace with a daily practice however that comes for you. Some days it can be grounding yourself by pottering in the garden, digging and sweeping the leaves, other days it is a full asana and meditation practice. It is the mindful intention behind our actions that will always guide us. 
..
In the yogic teachings we learn : Ahimsa, interpreted as ‘Do No Harm’ through the words we speak, our actions and our thoughts. Perhaps as we release the past and welcome the new cycle we can all show each other a little more, even more than before Ahimsa to flow out into this world and beyond.
