Simple Summer Seaside Dress in a day:
Saturday 27th February @ Hobbycraft Store: Greenwich
In this introduction to pattern cutting you will measure yourself correctly & professionally to make a simple dress. We will create an easy block and turn that into your very own summer dress. We look at seam allowances, facings & ease. The cutting out process is vital and Miss Libby Rose will give you some great tips & ideas from her days of working in the trade. In 3.5 hours you will leave with your fabulous creation and the knowledge & confidence to design & make a basic made to measure dress. A limited range of fabrics are provided and you are welcome to supply your own (cotton / cotton blend) 2 metres.
Measurements will be taken using handouts and instruction, making this a simple process. We will turn those measurements into a fabulous dress draft and design your creation around the draft… We will finish one dress in the day, but you will gain the skills to do so much more at home
